A pool, a dog park and Caltrain across the street. That’s why it keeps selling.
The Beacon was one of the first big condo buildings in the new Mission Bay neighborhood, finished in 2003 by Catellus across King Street from the Giants’ ballpark. Nearly 600 homes in two buildings at 250 and 260 King share a pool, a fitness center, a clubhouse and a private dog park, with Caltrain a block away.

Who It's For
Peninsula and South Bay commuters who want Caltrain at the door, baseball fans, dog owners and first-time buyers who want amenities without a luxury-tower price.
The Backstory: Mission Bay’s First Wave
When The Beacon was built, Mission Bay was mostly rail yards. Catellus developed it as one of the neighborhood’s first large residential buildings, right across from the ballpark that opened in 2000. The neighborhood has filled in around it since, with UCSF’s campus, Chase Center and new parks.
Floor Plans
Studios start around 550 square feet, one-bedrooms run about 600 to 1,000, and two- and three-bedroom homes reach about 1,500. VIP Insiders: floor plans and building documents are at the bottom of this page as we add them.
